The Argan - Argania spinosa, also known as Morocco Ironwood, is a shrubby, quite thorny evergreen
tree, native to the calcareous, semi-desert soils of south-western Morocco (Sousse region). Argan grows to 8-10 meters of height, and its life span is said to be from 125 to 450 years, but the tree may not come into full production until it is 40-60 years old. It occurs only in Morocco.
